Took the exam on Nov 11th and received the results last night.
Got an 81! Pretty proud of that. Took a 12 week class hosted by my homebrewing club which really helped.
So I'm now a recognized judge, will move on to certified with a couple more judging points. Then I'll just grind out the competitions and learn as much as I can. But really pleased with how the entire thing turned out.
If anyone is currently studying for the exam or thinking about it, do it! It's a very rewarding experience and judging is a great way to expand your brewing knowledge as well as meet some great people interested in the same hobby as you are.
I have my scoresheets available if anyone would like to see them, if you think it would help you to study for the exam, etc.
