Tasted good flat and smelled good! I'll let you know how it tastes in a few weeks.......well alright next week! LOL

What was the recipe? I've been wanting to do a pomegranate beer and haven't heard of many folks having much success.

I'd like to hear this myself. pic to. Although I'm wondering if the pomegranate can stand up against raspberry?

i did a pomegranate Berliner Weisse. turned out good. not sure how the pom would be in a non-sour beer, but is certainly tasty in one.

I used the following
3.5lbs of pale malt
3.5 lbs of light wheaat and flaked wheat
.5 oz of magnum hops
.5 oz of simcoe hops
Nottingham yeast
I also added 1lb of DME
and 1lb sugar

Should end up about a 5 pointer. Not strong as I like but thought I would give a light beer a try.

After 3 days fermenting and the fg was .1 I added 16oz of pure pomegranate and 16oz of rasberry juice and left it another 7 days. Could have gone longer but it was really clear already.

I already bottles but when I try my first one I'll try to post a pick. It has a fairly red color.

I made one last year, extract based wheat with a gallon of home squeezed pomegranate juice added to secondary (we have two bushes). It was a good beer, slightly pink and somewhat tart. I hope to do it again this year if we get enough fruit. I will also try it all grain.:mug:
