Things have gone fairly well so far. I missed my mash temp a bit due to temp loss durnig the hour... but I am not freaking, I know the rest of the evening will go great. Nothing a homebrew or 2 can't fix.

whew! looks like it's going to be a late night for you. It'll definitely be one to remember.

have a good one!

Chiller just started working its magic! Boil went off well, love that smell. Luckily I do not work tomorrow AM so this is time well spent!

Just about ready to pitch my White Labs Irish Ale Yeast starter. Then a small bit of clean-up and its off to dream about future brews.

God Bless Wisconsin, it appears that I will have some snow to shovel in the morning...

Start to finish it was in the 5 hour range, but i was multi-tasking i.e. taking care of my daughter. I'm guessing I could easly knock off some time if I was just brewing. The recipe was a Dry Stout from Northern Brewer in Milwaukee.

Congrats man. 5 hours is pretty good especially for first time. I've not seen anyone before post times of less than 4.5h. I'm usually around 6 because my HLT is my boil pot and I tend to not clean as I go.

I used the batch sparge method.

Racked to my secondary last night; I tasted the sample I used for my gravity reading and almost went back in for more... It was Amazing!!!
