I was looking at some of the other threads and found this recipie. Going to brew it tonight.

Two questions for the masses.

1. Does not list mash temp. I'm thinking 152... any reason I should not mash at that temp?

2. The WLP022 Yeast is not avail at my homebrew store. they sell all Wyeast. Any suggestions on what type of yeast I should use in place of the WLP022? I found a conversion chart and it says N/A for Wyeast....

White Labs WLP022 Essex Ale

On a side note I called a different homebrewer that carries White Labs. they dont have the WLP022 either. But he does have a bunch of other White Labs strains. so I would be open to a white labs suggestion also.

My notes say 152 degrees and I used Wyeast 1968 London ESB. My grain bill was the same as yours except that I used US Crystal 120 rather than the English 130. My hop bill was a little bit different too. For a 14 gal batch I used 2oz Cascade,1.5oz Willamette and 2oz Chinook for 60min boil; 2.5oz Hallertauer for 30min boil; 2oz Golding (US version) at flame out; and 2oz Golding and 1oz Cascade for a 7 days dry hop. It was pretty spot on (maybe a little better).
