Don't know how I missed this...

I'm going to pinpoint July 21st for the Atrial release.

Please quote this tweet when correct.

Going to be in town for a wedding. I saw on the to-go list that JK sells shippers at the brewery, is this still the case? Would definitely like to send myself some bottles back home.

They do. You can also get one at just about any Specs liquor store. Coming back from JK, you can stop at the one at 290 and Brodie Ln and get a 6 or 12 bottle shipper.

Jester King needs to become a FedEx Authorized Shipper.

They'd make so much bank.

So many "artisan snow globes," "homemade marinades," and "yeast samples" criss crossing the country.

Looks like MvB is still on the Bottles to Go and tap lists this weekend.

Also, new Hibernal Dichotomous:

Introducing 2017 Hibernal Dichotomous

We’re pleased to introduce 2017 Hibernal Dichotomous — our farmhouse ale brewed with grapefruit zest, fresh rosemary, and dried red chilis.

For our Dichotomous beers, our take on seasonality is a little outside the norm. We seek to make beer that’s of a particular season, rather than for a season. As a result, our Hibernal (or winter) Dichotomous is being released during the following Texas summer.

Here’s our Head Brewer Averie Swanson’s explanation of the motivation for 2017 Hibernal Dichotomous:

“(It) stemmed from the abundance of awesome Texas citrus that we have been working with over the last couple of months. Coming up with cool ideas for how to use it all has been fun. This particular flavor combination came to me while making baked grapefruits at home. I happened to have fresh rosemary, dried chili flakes, and brown sugar at the house and tried it on a whim. I really enjoyed how the heat of the chili and the depth of the rosemary highlighted the citrus notes, making them brighter in comparison. The brown sugar also helped tone down a bit of the bitterness in the grapefruit. Overall it was a pretty dynamic flavor experience. The recipe (for 2017 Hibernal Dichotomous) is an adaptation of that experience.”

2017 Hibernal Dichotomous was brewed with Hill Country well water, Texas pale malt from Blacklands Malt, malted spelt, honey malt, hops, grapefruit zest, fresh rosemary, and dried red chilis. It was fermented in stainless steel with our mixed culture of brewers yeast and native yeast and bacteria. We packaged 2017 Hibernal Dichotomous on April 19, 2017. It’s unfiltered, unpasteurized, 5.8 percent alcohol by volume, 21 IBU, 3.7 pH, and has a finishing gravity of 1.001 (0.25 degrees Plato).

2017 Hibernal Dichotomous will be released at Jester King on Friday, June 23rd at 4pm. It will be available by the glass and in bottles to go ($14/750ml). We have about 2,700 bottles. There’s no bottle limit. We anticipate that a small portion of the batch will be sent out for distribution in Texas.

Lastly, for those wondering about 2016 Autumnal Dichotomous, it’s still slowly fermenting / maturing and will be released when it’s ready!

I just posted something in the Beer Trading Help section about these beers. I'll ask here too because I'm an *******, but I'm just looking for some guidance on this stuff because I'm admittedly clueless.

I really don't trade, as is evident by my lack of feedback, so I have no ******* clue how to value this kind of stuff. I feel like people don't care as much about JK as they used to for some reason, but its still a beer with fruit in it and I obviously want it, so I'm sure plenty of others do, so I don't know.

I'd like to trade for these beers, and I'm more than happy to put together a compelling box featuring whatever stuff I have/can get that will get it done. But I'm also not the type of guy with a basement full of vintage lambic, so if that's the kind of stuff these bottles are trading for, I'll just **** off.

Feel free to ridicule me for not having my finger on the prostate of the beer valuation world

With 2,700 bottles of each @ 3pp/day, there should be plenty to go around. I would find something solid that you'd like to drink and offer it FT. If I was going, I'd do it at C+S, but alas I will also be ISO these

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a ton for the info.

Well if anybody else wants to do C+S, I'm more than happy to return the favor at any point in the future during a trip to Hill Farmstead or anywhere else I might be headed. I'll post something in the trade forum too, but if anybody here is interested in working something out, by all means, pm me.

Bout Tree Fiddy.

...yep. i think tomorrow evening is the primetime to go as usual. the issue is with traffic...i'm almost always forced to get ahead of it and end up getting there on the early side.

I know what you mean, Robert. All the fruit beers come in close succession. Not sure what to do about it.

Do nothing.

Personally, I don't feel the need to go to every release. I would like to, but I have other priorities.

7/21 Atrial release would be great because my wife will be out of town and I won't have to hear any complaining from her.
