It's been a hot minute since I've been to Dallas but they generally have the same shelf beers when I'm up there that we do here in Austin. You'll prolly find some Fantome Del Rey, Dichotomous (whatever the latest variety is), Biere de Miel, El Cedro, and Kollaborationsbier. That's what's on shelves here and anytime I go to Dallas it usually mirrors that.

This is pretty much what you'll find on the shelves in the Dallas area right now. I've definitely seen Dichotomous, El Cedro and Kollaborationsbier within the past couple weeks. JK isn't everywhere but most of the higher end grocery stores and better bottle shops should have some selection.

If you have access to the NE haze you could probably find people to do IP trades for SPON, Atrial and some of the other more sought after beers.

Hey friends,

Apologies in advance, as I imagine these questions have been asked a bunch of times, so feel free to redirect me to the info if available.

I'll be in Dallas on business next Tuesday and Wednesday (coming from Pittsburgh). We don't get much Jester King up here, so all I want to do is drink Jester King. A few questions.

1. Any legit places in Dallas to buy bottles?
2. Is it worth making the trip to Austin, better Jester King selection?
3. I'd love to visit the taproom, but am I correct that they're only open Fri-Sun right now?

Was lucky enough to have Spon 1 at GABF, and it was the best beer I had all weekend.

Thanks, folks, and happy drinking

Brody

PM me. I'm originally from the burgh and live in the Dallas area. I have the information you need, and a cellar full of JK if you're looking to trade anything.

and of course, HERE WE GO STEELERS! HERE WE GO!

"YOU ARE A FACTORY OF SADNESS!!!"

Starting this weekend, we'll have SPON -- Methode Gueuze bottles available for drinking onsite. We'll have 18 bottles (750ml) available for $36/bottle (same price as to go). Starting not too long after that, we'll have other 2016 SPON variants for sale to drink at the brewery.

Well that's awesome. Are they mixture of blends or all one blend? 18 bottles for the whole weekend or per day?

And did it sell out?
Yes. Sold out on Saturday. We'll have 18 bottles (750ml) every weekend for drinking on-site (first come first served) until the 2017 SPON -- Methode Gueuze blends are released. We also have plans to expand our on-site bottle list to include other rare beers.

That's awesome. Sounds like trips there are going to keep getting better and better. So you'll have JK fruited sours for onsite as well? Or another breweries stuff?

BdL!

These grape refermentations are my absolute favorites from JK, so I'll be out there Friday for sure!

Thanks for the 3pp limit jeffstuffingsjk as my wife is out of town and it's quite the hoof from Round Rock/North Austin.

Now to just convince the wife that a stop in Dripping Springs is a reasonable detour on our way to San Antonio..

Just convince her that taking the scenic/historical route to San Antonio of Hightway 290 to Highway 281 would be a good idea....

"Oh dearest, we should see the scenic Texas Hill Country, it won't take that much longer to get to San Antonio!"

Then say at Fitzhugh "hey, Jester King! I didn't know that was on the way! Let's stop for a minute!"

Then "Hey, Pieous! I heard their pastrami is great!"

Followed by "Real Ale? Wow honey, I guess we should stop while we're out here?"

At this point she may, in fact, push you out of the car. So play it cool.

Just posted this. Very sorry for the mistake.

UPDATE (2/8/17 at 4pm):

I made a mistake on the bottle count. I looked at the wrong fruit refermentation on our bottling chart and mistakenly wrote 3,000 bottles available. We have 1,050 bottles available. Because of this, we're going to lower the limit to two bottles per customer. I very much regret this mistake and apologize. Sorry an advance for any inconvenience and disappointment this causes. As a consolation, we're going to make sure we have Bière de Lenoir on draft at our tasting room all weekend.

It's cool, just means there's 3000 of another fruited release coming right?? ;););)

Do you plan to bottle any of the tears that inevitably came pouring out after the above correction?

ISO: Jester King refermented on angry trader tears

Yes, yes it does.
Wouldn't happen to be over President's Day weekend, would it???

I'm visiting that weekend (I think Sunday) and would love to bring some SARA to share with you guys if possible. If that's allowed, any requests?

Anybody going tonight?

I'm prolly gonna roll in around 8-8:30pm.

So, uh, don't buy all the bottles before then? K thx.
