Already got that room booked for the anniversary party.
Post going out today, but date has been moved to January 6/7 2017. Sorry for any inconvenience, Athens is booked up the original date we were thinking about, Dec 2-3, wanted people to be able to get hotel rooms, park, and not be overwhelmed with a packed town. We have a block of rooms reserved at OU Inn, just request the "Jackie O's" discount.

I got you fam. I booked this morning for January 6 as soon as I saw on FB that the rooms were blocked off.

I've never been to an anniversary party.. is it just some special taps over the 2 days or is there some special bottles as well?
More than some special taps. Kinda sorta like, alllllll special taps ~~~ ~~~~ €======8

That doesn't even look like a dick, it looks like a gharial with a long snake tongue.

Amazing taps, great people, cheese curds, great bottles released ,big mamas, more great beer, more cool people, steamed bagels, even more amazing beer, all around great time.

This. In every context possible.

Damn that's awesome!
Damn, why Thursday morning?
Damn, who am I kidding? It's not like I could make it even if it were this weekend.
Damn, adulting sucks sometimes.

I'm very curious about the BBVBM. Maple + Stout (or porter, whatever) is a good combo. Vanilla + Stout is a good combo. But I'm having a hard time imagining Maple + Vanilla - seems like a potential for too much sweetness. Hope to see some reviews of it this weekend, and I'll probably end up driving down next week.

Hey beace

Just wanted to check something

Got here too late to go to the brewery

Went to the public house to eat and buy bottles

Asked for 6 bbbm, 6 bbvbm, and 6 champ

Was told the limit per person per day was 6 bottles, total.. Not 6 of each flavor.. And I asked twice

Is it a different rule if you are not buying at the brewery?

I got six Champs a couple weeks ago at the public house. Unless they changed the limits, it sounds like an employee might have just been mistaken.

Sorry about this, the employee was mistaken. Should be same rules as the public house. I will make sure this is not an issue from here on out.

The vanilla variant is quite good. I'm VERY sensitive to sweetness in beers and I didn't find this too sweet at all (though I should note that I find JOs big beers to be on the low end of the sweetness scale, which is probably why I'm such a big fan). The vanilla flavor is quite subtle but still prominent enough to taste. I get vanilla flavors from barrel aged beers anyway, so it's more like a slight uptick in that flavor than a blast of sweetness.

It sounds like they'll probably be out of the vanilla variant by next week, though. They tweeted that as of 5 pm today, they're down to 27 cases of vanilla. I think they started with something like 250, so I doubt it lasts the weekend.
