Hi guys,

I own a plate chiller with quick disconnects and I'm quite satisfied with it.
I want to ask, what is the best way to keep the quick disconnect attached to the plate chiller, since I use teflon tape as an isolation and every few brews I open the screws, clean the threads and put a new tape.

Is there a way or some sort of isolation that I can just keep the quick disconnect attached to the chiller w/o opening it every few times.

Thanks.

Any additional connection, is going to introduce the possibility of "harboring nasties", like Wort, bits of grain, etc............

Your cleaning regimen sounds and inspection sounds solid, I would just keep it up, and don't over torque the fittings.
