Ok, i know it is, but i need to know if BJCP considers it a fruit on their competitions...
They say they use the culinary definition, and it appears to consider it a fruit, but its not on the listed examples, so im still not sure.
Anyone here with experiencie as a bjcp judge that can help out?

The clue here is "culinary." Tomatos are "technically" a fruit, but pretty much universally considered a vegetable for culinary purposes.

From the 2021 guidelines, regarding category 29, Fruit Beer: "Basically, if you have to justify a fruit using the word “technically” as part of the description, then that’s not what we mean."

You want category 30, Spiced Beer. Probably 30A, Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer.

Disclaimer: I am not a BJCP judge. But I do know my way around the guidelines.
