i posted in this section yeasterday and the thread sort of took off .. now the thread has been moved to a VIP forum that I can't see ... is this how they finally push you over the edge to buy the premium membership? .. is this a ploy?

Yeah....had it stayed more of a discussion about the restaurant policy and less about everybody's kids and their beliefs on child raising it wouldn't have gotten moved.

the couple times I posted after posting the story, I tried to get it back to the policy and my/others feelings on that ... it actually digressed to the point where one person was going to pinch their 6 month old baby on a plane just to bother other people .. talk about touchy .. geezzz

I saw the thread in question here and specifically stayed clear for that reason. I've been involved in one too many thread with some Nancy pants belittling everyone and pushing their "enlightened" ideas on raising children. Hmm, yes, you all sit around and have a meditative yogurt hour and no one ever raises their voice in your house. My, what a wonderful family you have, so much better than mine. Feel the sting of my backhand, putz!

btw .. there were a few voices raised at my house last nite .. and one of my princesses got a swat ... no wonder I don't eat out with the little people in my house ... thank god for take out .. oh and my weber grill

My thought is this, what is the guy gonna do when someone comes in with an 8 or 10 or 12 year old that has ADHD and the older child acts up? My kids for the most part, are well behaved, Of course they have their moments, and one of them is a 15 year old. For the most part i can say with all honestly, they are worse now that they are older than they ever were under 6. When they were that young all it took was a crayon and paper and they were quiet for hours!

actually the whole point of this thread was to poke at HBT a litttle for moving that thread on me ... the mods haven't commented tho, so maybe they didn't even see it .. or think it's funny that I can't see it anymore .. either way it doesnt matter ... I just dont want to pay at this point in time ... and 25 bucks seems pretty high to me .. 5 bucks would be more palatable seeing as how other places like facebook are free ..

I do agree with your post on the subject of the under 6 policy ... it's going to be awkward to enforse .. lose the harsh sounding policy and just get control of the dinning room with better management is my thinking ... cheers !!
