Is there an oxygen regulator that will fit my Bernzomatic tank?

I picked up one of those disposable oxygen tanks you would use for welding and a "regulator" knob I would like to find a regulator to use with it. Is there a specific model/style I should look for?

Good luck finding one. I just got this from Ed at BMW. Looks like those things are becoming scarce as hens teeth.

We do not carry them anymore. It appears that the regulator used is not going to be available any longer, and suppliers are sold out. Any that remain on the market are going to be the final ones offered until the situation changes.

After it is all said and done you get more for you money there...

As usual "out of stock". That's okay I picked up one of these at Lowes. And bought the aeration wand separately.

Then I bought this to use with the yellow can. That kit was maybe a little more expensive but it came with O2 and I can also use the yellow can with another torch.

What I really want is a regulator that will show me the actual flow of O2. But I think those are only available at medical equipment supply stores, and may be way expensive.

If you're serious about it you can always pick up a small oxygen cylinder from Harbor freight or a welding supply shop. Overall cost for the tank and regulator would be 100-150 bucks but it will last a long-ass time. Also comes in handy if you want to do any oxy-acetylene welding.

You really dont need a regulator at all, just open the valve a tiny bit and let it flow to your desired rate. You are not trying to hit a particular pressure, just flow rate and even that need not be all that precise. The one for the disposable ones is just a valve you know.

In realty though, if you are thinking of the refillable tanks. Check with all the welding supply shops in your area. It might be better to just buy a 20cu ft tank filled from them. You buy that new one at harbor freight and you will just swap it for a used one that is full. Most of those places don’t actually fill them for you.

What I meant is they generally dont fill them onsite while you wait so you just exchange your empty for their full.

I use an inline flowmeter at home with the kit I bought at home depot.... I dont bother using an oxygen system at the brewery since the yeast have absolutely no problems attentuating quickly without it.. Im beginning to think its another one of the homebrewing gadgets that really doesnt make much difference and probably wont continue to use it at home.
