So I bought a brooklyn brew shop kit. American pale ale to be exact. Used all the ingredients and supplies it came with.
I let my brew ferment for 2 weeks and when I went to put the brew into a pot to mix my honey and water mixture I accidently added some water with the sanitizer in it. What happened was I was starting the siphon, so I filled the tube with sanitized water and dropped it in my brew, and when I was supposed to put the other end in the sink and open it up until beer started coming out, I wasn't thinking and put it in my pot where my brew was. So about 1/2 - 3/4 cup of sanitized water went in my brew.
Is it ruined? Or safe to drink? Not sure of the brand of sanitizer, it was the packet that came with the brooklyn brew shop kit.
This was my first batch so please let me know so I can either know it's safe, or throw it out and start over.
Thanks,
-Dan
