Fantome on sale for $10, I tried to work out if these were old( smoky) bottles but the beer guy was convincing they were new- however he was not convincing on why the markdown......i risked $10 and will report back if I go buy a case or drainpour. I have money on a smoky drainpour- and a $10 refund.

It doesn't sound like there's too much risk involved if you get a $10 refund

Im completely lost reading this. You mean to tell me some bottle shops do refunds when they sell a bottle and it is a dud? Even though they are the middleman and have no fault in the matter? This blows my mind...how do you as the customer go about initiating that conversation?

My local beer guy gave me a new bottle after I told him the last one I bought came out of the bottle like shampoo. I had just mentioned it in conversation I wasn't even asking for anything as I assumed it was not their responsibility. A little customer service goes a long way!

I agree, I had a long conversation about Fantome and the issues over the past few batches and he offered up the potential refund as he was confident in what he was selling (still never got to why he had them on discount however.) It wasn't just some random shop I stopped at, I think simply having a semi-regular conversation with the people in the store and receiving good customer service kind of go hand in hand.

I think it's a common practice in the wine industry, if you get a corked bottle I think a lot of stores will refund/exchange it.

As soon as I took the cap off the cork blew, luckily it was over the sink. It was amazing to watch as the fountain erupted, Fantome all over the cupboard and it arched perfectly straight out the window. Wife was not impressed at all. I was left with maybe 6 oz of smoky bandaid beer, worse than I recall from the last bad bottle I had.

Lol you got your answer on why these were discounted! I once had an infected bottle (probably same batch) of regular saison. I popped the cap and saw that the cork was very slowly moving up on it's own. Like a total idiot I thought out loud "oh cool" and called my gf into the kitchen. As I took the cork out it exploded all over my face and soaked my tshirt and hair. I did salvage a glass and drank it quietly w said soaked hair and shirt

Nope, its a collaboration with the Stitzel distillery.
AKA Tomey Fon Winkles
danyP is just looking to go after Brew Dog. Once he brews a beer with higher ABV he will get his own show too.

Anyone knows the botteling codes for fantomes? I have acces to some with the code: Lot B, Best Before Novembre 2016 . Also, is the new label only for the us market or is it for everyone?
