So I have a small unused area at the side of my house. Just happens that there is an unused chimney that is nice and tall. So I thought this might be a good place to try my hand at growing some hops. I've ordered just one cascade plant and I would like some ideas on first year growth. Do I let it grow as many vines at it wants? Limit it to one, two or three? Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks.

I would put one one each line. Looks good. I suppose I might even do two on a line if it really takes off, but I wouldn't think it will be that established.

I have heard a range of answers on this. Since you're not running a full-scale HOPeration, I would train all five. In NY we have noticed no difference in yield from 2-bine or 5-bine plants. Give five a shot this year, two next year, compare, contrast. Science!
