IO-Star Iodophor - Change in concentrations?

Just starting to brew and my IO-Star says to mix to 25ppm according to the bottle for beverage containers (1 oz to 5 gallons.) I see people on this forum referencing mixing to "12.5ppm as directed on the bottle" or list the ppm as a range from 12.5 to 25ppm. Did they used to recommend a lower concentration and now it has changed? The only reference I can find to 12.5ppm is on the manufacturers website where they discuss CIP sanitizing.
