Hello everyone,
I've used this site extensivly for the past few months while getting ready to start my first brew. I've done two batches of mead in the past. They turned out drinkable (well the little I let age did). I've wanted to make my own beer for a while now, and I finally have an Imperial Pale Ale in the carboy.
I'm the kind of guy who always has to learn the hard way. I usually go all in on something without really having or knowing everything I need. But somehow I usually come out alright. The only problem Ive had with this batch is having the cloged airlock hit the ceiling. Quick search here and I discovered the blow off tube. Since then the fermentation has slowed down enough to put the air lock back on. So far so good.
Thanks for allowing me to join the conversation.
Cheers!
Chris
