Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew the general life length of brewing ingredients. I'd like to buy in bulk from websites such as brewmasterswarehouse to save on shipping.

So I'd like to know when I should use each ingredient after shipped:
-Liquid yeast - specifically Wyeast (refrigerated)
-hops (refrigerated) any difference in pellets vs whole?
-dry malt extract
-liquid malt extract - Also I only use some of the extract how long will the rest last in tupperware?
-barley grains (crushed vs. uncrushed if there is a difference)

Thanks a bunch guys! :tank:

Liquid yeast varies because you don't konw how old it already is til you get it. I've had both dry and liquid yeasts that were already 8-10 months old when I purchased them.

Hops keep a good while especially if vacuum sealed. they lose some bitterness over time but you can find some charts to help you compensate.

dry malt lasts a long time..say at least a year or two if kept out of humidity.
LME lasts a good 2-3 years too.

get your grain un-crushed and buy a grain mill. crushed grain really has to be used within a month of crushing (IMO, the less time the better between milling and mashing)
