Sunday night I started fermenting an imperial nut brown by 7 yesterday morning it was bubbling good, yesterday at 6 it was bubbling and getting pretty high should have took that as a hint but didn't. I woke up this morning to check on it before and it's overflowing almost through the top of my air lock. Should I change out the air lock with a blow tube or just let it ride, but I also believe that I've read that if the airlock water gets contaminated that's also not good, any help will be great!
Thanks!
Josh

Change to a blow off tube. A clogged air lock will cause extreme pressure and it will blow out. Besides the mess, if this happens, you will also lose a lot of beer.
Soak the air lock in a cleaning solution to rid it of all krausen residue to prevent an infection source later.

Awesome thank you flars! I'm assuming sooner rather than later I won't be able to switch it for a few hours will anything be contaminated? Also hopefully I will get home before any mess starts.
