Until I buy some cushy/gelly insoles. Or maybe some of those rubber mats for restaurant kitchens and bartenders. Maybe both. I'm not sure what hurts more. The feet or the lower back.

But on a good note. It was a textbook perfect brew day. Nailed the numbers and will refill the Saison keg soon. Going for another Irish Red on Sunday. Wit is a couple days away from kegging. Get-r-done! The holidays are coming.

I spent a lot of time walking on the job. A decade ago I had low back pain that was just getting worse. Doctor sent me to a podiatrist. A few days after using arch supports the pain went away. My feet had gone flat.

I came down with plantar fasciitis in June, taken a long time to get back to normal.
Even now I have to be careful of my left foot.
Brewing with proper footwear (insoles and all) is a must.
Good foot wear is like good music, i am not movin unless I have it!

I too went a podiatrist.
He sold me pricy inserts, but the work.
Also, ice and stretch!

I brewed in flip flops yesterday. Probably not OSHA approved. But whatever. I also ran 60 miles last week. The last thing I wanted to do was put shoes on again.

I’m usually in flip flops, slippers or barefoot. I think last brewday I was barefoot the whole time.

I just sit on the couch between readings or when there's nothing to do but wait.

What kind of crazy person stands around staring at hot liquids all day?
I do! but even a six hour long brew day is nothing compared to the cumulative weeks I've spent watching for bubbles and sniffing the airlock while rubbing my lucky rabbit's foot.

I guess I'm alone here with River Dancing until the yeast is pitched. I used to experiment with Clogging, but those were dark times I don't like to talk about...

My local Costco has some good beer from time to time, big discount cases of two brothers are my favorite, great quality, fresh as can be, and of course the bottles are perfect for re-use.

Not to mention their Kirkland brand French vodka is made by Grey Goose, if you're into that sort of thing. Also, they have great rotisserie chicken for $5, what's not to like? We don't even have kids and we like to shop there. It's like a sam's club for normal people :)

I actually shop at local produce stands and butcher shops. Dry goods and what not at Publix, which is technically local.

I also only have to cook for myself. Makes it easy to go shopping almost every other day

And good for you. We use Sprouts/Kroegers/Publix for most fresh produce (man, I miss Wegman’s.) I buy my brewing supplies from the guy 7 miles away from me. And with 2 preteen kids... yeah, we go thru that much frozen chicken, pasta, clothing, TP and paper towels in a quarter to make the Costco a reasonable economic choice. Plus as Jayjay points out their booze and wine is the same as anywhere else.
