Hello everyone,
I lived my life taking care of my family and working 65 to 80 hours a week treating patient's. It's my time now so Im trying new things to learn and enjoy. I have been making Kombucha for several years. Now I want to try to make wine and other alcoholic beverages. Im trying this as a free member to see if it fits me if it does ill become a supporting member.

Welcome to HBT! I’ve been making other than beer beverages for a long time. What are you thinking of trying first?

Welcome to the madness we call a hobby. This forum offers info for everything fermentation and equipment to do it with. It has members from around the globe that offer advice and information. Enjoy you journey every beverage is doable.

Welcome! I love kombucha and making it occasionally as well. I think you’ll find your experience there helpful in these types of fermentations as well.

Welcome to HBT - where there is no question too stupid or a detail to small to consider. Furthermore, opinions remain and we share them nicely, often adding, your mileage may vary.

Beer is fun and tastes good.

Hi and welcome! I've been brewing beer for many years and just made my first batch of wine using a kit. It was very easy and does not cost much to get started. The 1 gal. wine kit was around $30 and supplies were around $50. Very basic, very beginner, but a cheap way to get your feet wet in wine making. Oh, and with all my years of brewing, I did make 2 pretty big mistakes with my wine kit. No worries, the next batch will be even better! 😊
