If prohibition was reinstated how would your life change?

Would you go underground selling it and come out as rich as a Kennedy????

Would you claim to have stopped drinking and brew appfelwein for your personal consumption?

Would you be a law abiding citizen and stop drinking / brewing???

DO YOU WANT TO EXERCISE YOUR 5TH AMENDMENT RIGHTS JUST TO BE SAFE?

just curious (and I want to start a thread that gets over 1,000 reads):D

Beings that I live a few minutes from French Lick IN, which was made famous because movie stars and liquor runners could go there without getting busted, I feel morally obligated to brew under the table. As long as I have a couple starters in the fridge and a fruity/malty/sugary liquid in the grocery store, I'll be alright.

FRENCH LICK?????? thats an awesome name for a town!!!!! and to think I bought property in La Porte, IN once.

I'd be a bootlegger.
I have the production and distribution means in place.

This would also work post-Zombiepocalypse

bUmping this B4 I go to beed .... need to be up in 4 hours and Ed Ward has sabatoged me again... ... .... I LOVE APFELWEIN:off::p:rockin::ban::mug::):drunk::D:fro:

You've never heard of French Lick? The hick town that LARRY FREAKIN' BIRD grew up in? My Lord, people...

;)

exactly! +!10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Greatest Quote ever: "There's only one place I'd rather be: French Lick"

(way better than Magic and his: "Is there any questions before I get started? I be turning pro.")

oh and back to the OP - I'll be a cider/mead making fool if they try and shut alcohol down again.

I would be forced to build a still - I love my beer, but I need my whisky* too.

*This also applies to vodka, tequila, rum and gin among the others I am forgetting right now :drunk:.

Oh yeah, sell that stuff. As long as I have 2nd amendment rights, I'll support the 21st amendment. And as long as I have 1st amendment rights, I'll tell everyone about them.

DOWN WITH THE MAN

Now if only we could repeal #16.

I wouldn't change a thing . . . except the law, and I would dare anyone to come and change what I was doing before I got the law changed. Come and Take It.

And, just FYI, the Fifth Amendment only comes into play if you were breaking an actual law and Johnny Law pointed the big gun at you. :)

two words: neighborhood speak easy. ;)

that, OR!!!! I would start the 'church of alcoholics' much like the churches that use peyote legally; citing it as necessary for their religious experience. alcohol would be a central and integral part of experiencing the closeness to Ninkasi. my chosen diety of worship. this has the added bonus of being legal due to freedom of religion and being tax free due to separation of church and state.

as a matter of fact, why the hell am I not starting this church right now?

Hm. Deal.

:mug:

I'd go back to Europe where such a thing would never even be seriously considered!

I'm happy here, but c'mon!! As Clint said, "A man has to know his limitations" :D

I'd just bribe the very thirsty law enforcement officers with some tasty brew and I'd be fine. I live in KY and I think that they would be much busier trying to find the meth labs than busting up lil ol me.

I have the knowledge & creativity. Maybe I could get someone to smuggle in some hops & pale malt and make a batch in the joint !

I would either move back to England and renounce my American citizenship in disgust (I'm a dually, UK/US) or become an apfeljuice salesman ;) There is nothing wrong with selling apfeljuice, right?
