Then, he begins teaching inmates, and is held to the same basic standards of graduation for others teaching adults out in the real world. His salary? He was in custody in Thailand for something, I'm not sure what, but he admitted to a crime in the U.S. that caused Thailand to hand him over to the U.S. A crime that he knew he would be absolved of once he got here and had his DNA tested against the evidence.

My Aunt works in court in here in Canada. The lawyers there were saying he was on serious charges in Thailand and basically pulled this stunt to get out of thailand. Thing is, word is they're sending him back.

I just find it hard to believe that they can't match the DNA to anyone in any database. I know it's not easy to search all the records for a match, but it would be worth it just for closure. Whoever killed that poor girl has to have committed other sex crimes since then.

They should DNA fingerprint everyone just for this reason. Rapists, especially child rapists, should be brutally and painfully executed. Even the ACLU zealots have to feel the same way. Send a message to everyone that you don't get out easy if you do this to a kid.

Amputation - not execution - is the key. Who here fears death as much as they fear painfully losing a limb or other appendage?

She told him that all the lawyers she knows are saying that he was facing some very serious charges in Thailand, and that after he faces the child porn charges in Cali that the U.S. will be sending him back to Thailand to face the music there as well.

I know that I am reading this a bit later than all of you but I have to put my $.02.

This guy used the case as an escape route - not saying that I would not have done the same (i would never put myself in any situation to warrant that - he is a SICK PIG). The media (especially FOX) ate it up!! THEY TOO SUCK BALLS! Everyone knew this guy was in no way related to the issue they just had to report on it because they could. FOX, CNN, MSNBC, all the news channels suck@$$!
