She takes the kids to her folks' place every summer for a few weeks. Got back Tuesday night. Yesterday she went to the store, did her shopping, came out to the car, and THEN realized that she locked her keys inside. Oh yeah, and left it running too!

Later on, she comes home and gets stuff out of the back of her pathfinder, leaves the back open, and shuts the garage door on it, throwing it off the tracks and costing $250 to fix. All this within 24 hours of coming home. Since bad things come in threes, I figure today she'll burn the house down somehow. Good thing she's cute.

I spent quite a long time trying to get mine back on the tracks before I finally paid the door guy to fix it.

At least your mother in law didn't ram your garage door like mine did. I guess the old bag got the accelerator and the break pedal confused and she damn near plowed the door down. At least she paid for it.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but I've done my fair share of stupid things. Not so much her though. I love her and it will be 13 years beginning of September. She's a ginger and I love her!

Good point. I know I've put her through the wringer once or twice. I once smashed my hand in the troop hatch of an M113, and told one of squad leaders to call and have her meet me at the hospital. She almost died when the guy called and said "mrs. F? Your husband is going to be ok." Maybe she's just getting payback.
