I am addicted to beer glasses!!!

So the addiction started about two years ago. Everywhere I went that sold beer glasses I had to buy one. Breweries, pubs, stores, ect...

I cant even count anymore how many I have. The glasses are now all over my condo. They take up all floor space in my guest room. The glasses are all over my kitchen counters. I have even started putting them under my bed.
Its crazy how in two years I have bought soooooo many beer glasses.

Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I can drin from a different glass each day and not use the same glass twice for at least a month or two.

I just bought a glazed ceramic chalice to commemorate a birthing. Saw it in a gift shop and had to have it.

My biggest problem is that I am usually not satisfied with just one because I like things in pairs.

I have the same damn problem. I have SO many stinking glasses. When I ordered the pint glasses with my logo on them, after I gave a bunch away I started putting a lot of my rarely used pint glasses into the box the IOB glasses came in. I still have SO many, but I love pint glasses.

I live on a sailboat.... So, no I don't have that problem. If I collect too many, they start breaking.

Matter of fact, i'm going to be throwing up a classified ad with a bunch for sale soon.

I usually only keep 1 or 2, but a lot of times I'm forced to buy 4. So, im going to dump/trade off the rest!

I have to buy a pint glass from each new city/state that I go to but not each bar or restaurant. I have the same problem with shot glasses.

Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing when I read the subject.

I am the same way though. I love all different types of beer glasses. I would say that 80% of my collection are pints. I have a dedicated shelf in my room for all of my favorites that I think would be extremely hard to replace.

For me it has to be a standard conical pint glass with a logo. Anything else is to much of a pain to organize. I don't have a ton of room for glasses in the kitchen.

I have a cool looking pewter mug. It seems to leave a metallic flavor in the beverage so only for display. I don't know if this is all pewter or just mine.
You brew on a sail boat...very cool. Living on a boat can have its problems I'm sure but I like the spartan life style it gives one. Many people (especially brewers, me included) tend to collect "stuff" but on a boat you have to choose your "stuff" with a watchful eye.

I've got this really cool set of matching "goblets" from the SOLO line. Some are red and some are blue. Maybe it is time to start buying some glass ones.
Can't really justify it with four little ones running around the house, the house with all ceramic tile downstairs.

And if you look at the prices, they're not cheap...IIRC the price on the website is per glass...I saw at least one of them listed at 30 bucks...

I have a few glasses. Most are vintage BMC. I kinda get a kick out of old BMC stuff. I've put together a pretty good set of classic schooners with brands like Falstaff, Hamm's, etc. Speaking of Hamm's, I think my Dad and Uncles were mainly Hamm's drinkers. I can remember my Dad letting me try some out of one of those Hamm's cans shaped like a keg. Too bad I never had the opportunity to share one with him as an adult.


A bit before my Uncle Passed away, he took me aside and gave me his glass collection. Really cool stuff, from big ceramic beer mugs to a complete set of those smoked tumblers with the NFL logos on them (I think everyone had a set in the early 70's). Took me by surprise since he always seemed closer to my older brother. In fact, my brother, being the oldest, got pretty much all the cool hand-me-downs that would filter through the family. I really cherish that collection. It sits off limits on the top shelves of our china hutch, which someday I plan to make the back of our bar.

I have been collecing pint glasses for several years. I have nearly 200 of them. My wife wants us to get a nice glass display case for them and place it next to the keezer in our rec room. They are all standard pint glasses and only have logos from brewpubs or craft breweries - no BMC, sports teams, St. Patty's Day, etc. The lone exception is one of the pint glasses I got for my groomsmen. I have a few from breweries that no longer exist.

I've tried to collect a glass from every brewpub I've set foot in. I even went so far as to mail-order some beer and a pint glass from Snake River Brewing just because I saw the place feaured on some TV show and thought the logo looked cool and didn't know if I would ever visit Jackson Hole. The beer was pretty good, too.

My wife and I both have the disease - and it extends to wine glasses too. We have well over 100 beer glasses, not including a box of 32 5oz tasting glasses.

I like to collect glasses that are not the basic pint variety. Glasses with personality. Pint glasses are all the same - no matter what the logo says.

I'm probably up to around 50 in my kitchen now.. A store here runs a special at least once a month where if you buy a case you get some glasses. Every month I can remember so far has been craft breweries.

I don't have a ton of glasses, but I know I have more tulips and goblets and chalices than I have pint glasses. I think I have 4 pint glasses, but I keep buying awesome Belgian glasses. I am very tempted to buy that gueuze glass, too. It is pretty nifty.

I had one of my Allagash glasses smashed in a game of Wii bowling about two weeks ago. I like things in pairs too, so I have to get another one.

I only have about 10 different glasses but I was mad as hell yesterday. I noticed one of my Dieu Du Ciel glasses has a chip.
Not a happy camper.
