This is my first post. I read this forum pretty much every day and the topics are so detailed that usually I don't have anything interesting to say so I just read them and learn.

Well, since I started making beer one of the first projects that I really liked were fermentation chambers. After some time, I decided to build one.

Here are the pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/gtsehn/NovaCamaraFria

And here is the first beer I made with my new equipment and using the new chamber: https://picasaweb.google.com/gtsehn/NovoEquipamento

I hope you guys like it.

Cheers from Brazil.

Well done. That thing is huge. And very nice construction. Any problems with the refrigeration unit?

No problems. It pulls all the moisture out, and since it has a very good sealing it stays dry. Besides that the controller I`m using does a defrost twice a day just to be sure.

The defrost is done by activating the heater function of the AC which heats the evaporator keeping the fans off. The controller has 2 sensors.. one for the chamber and another one just for the evaporator.

I keep the bottom chamber near 0 celcius and the top chamber is in fact 2 chambers, one for ales and the other with a lower temperature (lagering of just serving). The wall that separating the 2 top chambers and be moved to either left or right).

holy crap, thats awesome! Now you have to brew enough beers to keep it FULL at all times!

Yeah man... I can put around 20 corny kegs (in the bottom chamber) so.... yeah.. my friends and family are happy.... :)

Another good thing is that since it`s big I can do some experiences like aging high gravity beers for months at low temperatures and still have space to brew other normal beers.

yah I guess its OK, if you are into that sort of thing I guess. (uh that's sarcasm)
