How much Priming sugar- one gallon

I have been using the fizz drops and have not been happy with the carbonation so I wanted to give priming sugar a try but I’m not sure how much to use. I am bottling a one gallon IPA today and have a question regarding the bottling. Can I use 1 oz. of priming sugar and put it into another one gallon carboy or should I put the priming sugar in each bottle individually using a sterilized medicine dropper? If I use the medicine dropper, how many mL should I put in each bottle? I’m just looking to help with the mixing of the sugar to get better carbonation!

I find it easiest to dissolve the sugar in a cup or two of water, bring it to a boil and add it to your bottling bucket while the beer is being transferred. I don't cool the priming solution for a 5 gallon batch but you might want to for only a gallon.
 
Best to use a carbonation calculator and use the same calculator for consistency. When the amount of priming sugar recommended seems to undercarb or overcarb you can use your notes to adjust by a tenth of an ounce or grams. Weighing the priming sugar is more accurate than a volume measure. I use a $20 digital scale from Walmart. I also use it for general kitchen duties weighing recipe ingredients.

I will use Domino "Dots" for stouts and porters. Yields about 2.4 volumes of CO2. Dots are 198 cubes per pound. Regular sugar cubes are 126 per pound. The regular cubes will not fit the mouth of standard 12 ounce bottle.
 
I do have a scale to measure out with so I will do that. I will have to do more research on what you mean by CO2 volumes and how much I need for an IPA.
