Leaving for about a month and have three fermenters going. Was wondering how long the airlocks will stay filled up with something like Vodka before it's all evaporated?

And do you think the 3 piece or the S shaped airlock will stay filled the longest?

I'm thinking S since there's smaller surface area exposed at the top.

I've had water last 6 weeks in an airlock before. Not sure about vodka though. I am not positive but I think the first apfelwein batch I made had vodka in the airlock and I think there was still vodka in there after 4 weeks.

I would say the S for the same reasons as you.

If they have a cap they last quite a while, I've never had to top mine off in 4-6 weeks.

k, I have all S locks on now and I have them maxed out with Vodka and the cap on them. Leaving in a couple hours so I hope they last.
