I brewed a cream ale today with a 5 gal recipe that cut in half. Problem is I forgot to halve the hops. How bad is this mistake?

1 oz 60 min. Grain bill was 3.5 lbs 2 row. .5 lb honey malt. .35 la biscuit malt

There's always a BJCP category to slide those mistakes into. My American Pale Ale actually turned into an English IPA.

Your beer might be more bitter but it will probably still be good.

All the Best,

If it is really too bitter for your liking, let it set in the bottle for 3 months or so and it will fade. Even a couple of months will often make a huge difference.

At the very worst you could call it a vintage beer; they generally bittered the beejeezus out of everything...;)
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at your outcome.
Relax... You made beer.
