Wow I am excited seeing the prices on Hopsdirect. $6.75 for willamette and cluster. $8.75 cascade. Many are under $10. Since this is gonna be my first bulk buy can I get some recommendations on what to buy. 3-4 lbs sounds about right. I want a lb each of cascade and willamette. But am having trouble deciding between Chinook, Centennial, and galena, or the many others. I want something that I can use for bittering and flavor/aroma in IPA's and pales, as well as bittering for stouts, porters, etc. Basically I want versatility. Thanks

Well, you got it down. Willamette, Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook. That's exactly what I got. Brew some celebration ale and many other recipes!

etc. etc.

Make your own IPA with all of the hops you got or brew some english pale ales, milds, stouts, etc. with the willamette.

I got Willamette, Cascade, Amarillo, Galena, and Hallertau (GR) when I ordered a couple months ago.

I don't know much about hops, but I did just recieve my hops direct order. I went w/ Cascade, Centennial and Magnum.

My rational was get hops w/ differing alpha acid content

Is cluster worth buying for $6.75? I've read it tastes like cat piss but It is $6.75. Maybe just for bittering?

Real glut this year. Hop farmers were burning bales for lack of warehousing.

why the bales, they were just burning them on the bine in Yakima. Don't want to take the extra cost of having to cut them down.

The put signs out before doing so if people wanted to pick their own too :)
