Hop Extract Question

I'll be brewing the Baltic Porter from Brewing Classic Styles soon. The recipe calls for a bittering addition of 35 IBUs from a low AA hop (which means like 3 oz or so). Anyone see any negative effects from substituting to hop extract to achieve the same IBUs. I use it all the time in my hoppy beers, but haven't used it in a lower IBU beer. I'd still use pellets for the 15 minute addition.
 
I'm leaning towards it doesn't matter but I'd still like to hear some opinions...
