I just kegged my third beer and thought I would dry hop in the keg using a mesh cylinder. After force carbing, the dip tube spit up a glob of hops, meaning the can opened, and now I have 3oz of hops floating around.

Are there any creative solutions to transfer the beer to another keg without too much oxygen exposure? (After dry hopping of course :()

Thanks in advance..... rookie mistakes suck.

you could order one of these (with the hop screen add-on) and switch out the dip tube in the same keg. The purge the headspace after installing. This will definitely introduce some O2, but probably easier than transferring.

I use this with the hopscreen assembly on all my dry hopped beers. I've gone up to 7oz pellets in a keg without any issues. I just toss the hops in loose. Never once had clogging issues. It does take more time to install than a diptube though.

Here's a video of a dude who had the same problem as you and switched it out.

This is awesome! Great solution- I’ll be ordering one or two for the kegs. Thank you for the help.
