Hi,

I recently came to Rwanda as a part of South Korea's official development aid programme, and will be working as a science teacher for two years.

Now, I've brewed few times while I was back in the states or in Korea, but now that I'm in a new continent and have more free time than I expected, I want to take the homebrewing to a more serious level.

The problem is though I don't know where to get the supplies from. There is a brewing facility here that brews commercial beers - some of which are actually not too bad - I don't know if I can purchase any ingredients from them.

Does anyone know of a good homebrewing supply website that will ship to Rwanda? - preferrably at a low cost as well. I'm here as a volunteer and with a tight budget, so if it's too expensive to homebrew here I don't know what I can do.

Also, I know this is highly unlikely, does anyone here homebrew in Rwanda? If so, can you please recommend me a place where I can buy the ingredients?

Thank you in advance

John Lee

Whilst not ideal, if you can't find malted barley it's possible to malt your own. I did that in S Korea when malted was cost prohibited. Now it's the wild-wild west of homebrewing. You left just when it's starting to get good!

I stuffed a few batches of ingredients in my shipment when I moved to the middle east.
