Homebrew starter kit

Most starter kits I'm finding have plastic buckets to use for fermentation. Are there any kits out there with a glass carboy instead of the bucket?

there are but plastic is way cheaper....

Ask your LHBS to swap it out. Of course, you can use the bucket to ferment.

I'm hoping to buy a kit within the next few weeks, thanks for the advice. Next question: where do I get a good burner?
