What a great day...I left work early, deposited a paycheck, and am now priming for tonight's David Gilmour show at Radio City with a Hoegaarden...Life is good.

I am jealous as well. I saw Roger on tour a few years ago. That was a great show.

also jealous. SWMBO and I used to go to at least two concerts every month, but since we had kids, it's more like two concerts every year.

My son's first concert was a Dead show (not the Grateful Dead, but the reunion tour that was going on in 2003/2004, obviously sans Jerry). I hope he appreciates that when he gets older. He definately had a good time.

OK, Gilmour left me speechless. It was great to see Richard Wright not only play the keys the whole night, but actually singing as much as he did. Plus seeing David Crosby and Graham Nash (who appear on Gilmour's latest record) provide backup vocals was sweet.

Show stopper was easily the full 23-minute version of Echoes. I've never seen Floyd perform this, nor Roger as a solo genius...so that was truly amazing and left me speechless.

The first set was the entire new album. The second set was entirely Floyd material with selections from Dark Side, The Wall, Obscured by Clouds (he actually performed Wot's uh The Deal), Wish You Were Here, and the Division Bell.

His guitar work still blows me away. I wish I were half the guitarist he is.
