I was planning on Parker Pie and Positive Pie already (I loved them on my last trip 5 years ago) -- glad to see they're still worth it!

I'll look into Highland Lodge for sure. Thanks!

Seconded on all above. Don't miss out on the Craftsbury general store, great sandwiches. If you're going around anniversary week, definitely worth getting in line at the taproom first.

Planning to head up this week, will probably shoot to be there at open on Friday if anyone is interested in sharing some bottles on-site? Would also be down to hit Parker Pie afterwards if anyone had plans to do that, will be my first time there!

Any insight into the road conditions? I've been suggested Rt 15 to Rt 16 to Taylor Rd, and I'm trying to decide what kind of vehicle I'm going to need to make it to HF. Originally thinking I'll need something with AWD/4WD but have had some comments I may be ok with just FWD

I should be around to split a bottle or two on Friday, save me a sip if you get there first.

Yeah, **** those guys for not being able to accurately count whether there are 7 or 8 people in line.

but seriously, can you count to 10?

I mean more the fact that it's 9:30 am and they were undoubtedly there earlier. This is in a HF FB group where AutumnBeerLove specifically asked that people be respectful and not line up hours early. IDK why I am surprised.

I've always hoped to hear about a brewery just walking past the first x number of people who lined up earlier than they were asked to and allowing the people that showed up at a reasonable time to go in first. A brewery with as much clout and adoration as Hill Farm could easily get away with this and avoid backlash. Or better yet, just spread out the daily allocation of Ann randomly throughout the day.

We NEED you for both pics, stories, and what happens when the bottles run out and people start trading beer for a sip of Ann.

I'm waiting to hear the stories of neckbeards trading more than just beer for sips of Ann. Pretty sure some of these bozos would eat a piece of wet, three day old dog **** for a sip of Ann just so they could unlock a random badge on Untappd.

The badge's "Overpayer: Congratulations for taking a sip of a beer coming from a 20k$ barrel"

As someone whose had the whole first in line to not get Ann experience* before, I was slightly bummed to see this on site release announced a mere two days after my most recent trip up, ensuring that I'd be narrowly missing it again. But as much as I'd love to try Ann at some point, I don't think I'd trade last week - an incredibly chill day at the taproom, Gin Soigne, no line for E, BoT, and Norma bottles - for the craziness I can imagine is going on there today.

*And had this not happened, I'd probably never get to try Being & Time, which was an all timer in my book.

that's a cute sentiment... but every move HF has done to make things fair or address complaints is always met with backlash. Having limited amounts of any highly sought after product is a gift and a curse if you care about what people say.

If only people could sit back and enjoy what is available without stressing what they missed out on...

The jank factor is high on this one, but I needed to strike while the block is hot

Tlo4sho reading this thread just reminds me of how good of a dude you were for sharing a small pour of Ann with me (random dude you had just met) while up there the Thursday before FoFA.

I just hope the masses never realize how ridiculous the on site bottle lists are the week leading up to FoFA (or atleast were this year)
