I wouldn t put 16 so low, I think it evolved into a really nice beer. I certainly wouldn t put it lower than 12 which everyone at the table dumped. I also agree with 10, that was fantastic! 5 was also one of my favorites. I guess a top 5 for me would be 10, 14, 5, 11 and 13

My CD experience is not as broad as some of you, but CD 6 was the very first HF release I ever attended, so here goes:
11>10/13 (tie) > 6 > 15 > 14 > 17 > 4 > 16

On this note, we had CD16 following CD11. CD16 was my first since fresh. Didn't taste much different than I remembered and didn't exactly stand up to CD11. But, it was still great. HF barrel aged farmstead (TM) stuff is just ******* great. Always.

Also, I only ever had two bottles of CD7 and one was buttery and no good. Anyone have one of the on-site bottles that have been available lately at HF? How's that drinking?

Only had it on site last week. The clear pour was a nice blend maybe favoring Art over gueuze, the dregs were super funky old gueuze still with an Art hint. No butter or off flavors I could detect.

Amazingly. I had it 3 times ranging from at release to about a year later and all 3 were buttery. This last bottle I had on prem was amazing with no off flavors.

I know a lot of people don't groove on the dark ones but I loved it so much that I honestly debated putting it further up the list. Been a year or so, can't wait to try it again.

The bottle I had right at release wasn't buttery. It tasted great but I haven't had it since. Still have another bottle that I think would be good to open soon.

I had a CD7 on Wednesday at the brewery. Never had it fresh. It was very, very good. No butter at all. Not really sure how much of the Art portion I could pick up though, it basically just tasted like a good bottle of lambic to me.

Simply put, NorthWest jersey is not conducive to proper beer storage. If I'd ever considered it as a future housing location, it has now been eliminated.
