Split a BG&E with a few friends last night. As many have said, it is quite sweet, and I think the sweet spot is 6-8 oz. That said, I absolutely loved it. Awesome bourbon, maple, honey and chocolate on the nose. More maple than barrel in the flavor, which contributed to the sweetness. Overall, I'd love to drink this stuff again and was happy to track one down.

Also, if pbyoung or AutumnBeerLove filled this growler, thank you. Filled right to the brim, money fill.

A past quote from @HF's Twitter

"99% of all beer will be released to general public..."

Anddddd us public people do indeed get a chance. Thought I was waiting til the week after Christmas, but I've got vacation days to use.

Re-release of Elaborative Four too?

First, we have the return of Aaron!

500ml, $22 per bottle, 2 bottle limit per person (credit card and matching ID required, please see our bottle release policy).

Aaron is our barleywine-style ale aged in bourbon barrels. Aaron A. Hill (1785 - 1869) was our great-great-great grandfather who operated the original tavern in North Greensboro—an industrious, inventive and indomitable figure in the community. The Hill Farmstead Brewery logo is based upon that tavern's original sign. In his honor, we crafted this barleywine, which has rested, unhurriedly and undisturbed, for over 2 years in bourbon barrels from some of our favorite distilleries, absorbing the essence of its surroundings and history.

In addition, we are releasing Elaborative 4.

750ml, $10.

Elaborative 4 was originally brewed in August of 2015 with our friends Brad Clark of Jackie O's Pub & Brewery, Chad Yakobson of Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project and Cory King of Side Project Brewing. We once again brewed this beer--inspired by the German radler—with ample amounts of grapefruit zest and juice, wheat, and oats. A bright, aromatic, and refreshing Farmstead® ale!

We are open Wednesday - Saturday, from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. in our retail shop.

Is Anybody from the Boston Area coming up for Aaron that can stop by Trillium? Looking for a 2-3 4 packs. Will throw a growler from Foam in Burlington as a thank you . Just trying to bring an assortment of NE hops back west for the holidays.

Leaves of Grass: 9/16/2016!
375ml, $8 per bottle, 2 bottle limit per person

Brewed on Sept. 16, 2016, this Farmstead® ale was brewed with sour candy and fermented entirely in oak.

Leaves of Grass represents our brewery's collective pursuit to create, explore and challenge. For each batch, we employ uniquely different processes and ingredients, all of which further our understanding of the art and science of brewing.

We will also release Florence this week.
750ml, $10.

Florence is our Farmstead® wheat ale, crafted from American malted barley, organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated.

When are you going to be there? I think I'm going up the week before Christmas. Doubt Aaron lasts that long, but we will see I suppose.
Too bad you're not going next week. Pat and some of his buddies will be there on Wednesday, 12/14, I believe. Thank god for #roommatemules :D
