MC7 has bitten the dust. 4 oz pours available of BG&E today, with LPG earlier. Ann for the first 8 customers. Cheers!
has anybody in this forum mentioned how this batch and the last batch of Arthur have been on ******* point? Or is everybody stuck checking their glucometers?

Thank you, now with a not 100% positive review maybe the trade value will fall and I'll be able to try itAm I the only one who was disappointed by this iteration of BG&E? I get the ranting and raving about it being a maple bomb but in being so sweet and over the top it comes off as one dimensional to me. I got very little (if any) barrel and just piles of maple syrup. If I tried it blind I think Hill Farmstead would be my last guess for its origin. I've come to enjoy the subtleties and nuances when Hill uses adjuncts; this brew on the other hand is loud, over the top and hard to drink more than 8 oz of.
I'm not trying to stir up the masses who seem to be in opposition of my view but I just need to know how alone I am with these thoughts. Go ahead and beat on me for being an idiot who doesn't want diabeetus in a glass now.
I have not yet had it, but I suspect that using barrels that previously held syrup has something to do with a different (subtle) bourbon character. To me, it almost sounds like a different beer than the first release.Am I the only one who was disappointed by this iteration of BG&E? This sounds horrible.Mouthfeel fanatics will probably love the viscosity of this beer, it's like a hybrid consistency of beer and syrup.
Sweeter than other HF stouts, those who love fresh BVDL will probably appreciate this one a lot.
I'm not seeing bg&e on the website, did it kick on Saturday?
should be around Wednesday and Thursday next week if people want to share bottles....
Hotwired BW Waterbury for $60 a night looks like i'm in town for 4-5 days instead of the norm 3 days
I stayed there 3 weeks ago. The restaurant was closed for a month or two and the pool was closed for a month. Not sure what else they're renovating. What's the scenario with BW Waterbury? It looked like it was closed for renovations when i was up earlier this month and it's now becoming the 'upscale" BW with a new name. Best Western Plus or something like that.

I also just assumed that all the BWs were getting that facelift to BW Plus, since I've seen it happen to a few here in CT.
Had a really bad experience there when they changed my rate to a higher rate then from what I booked on the best western website. Was arguing that my confirmation email with the rate was not enough proof. General manager was in the lobby eating a bowl of oatmeal not even caring. Eventually at the 35-40 minute point she came over and was like yeah, rates change all the time so just change it. I liked the hotel, but the staff was lacking.Company wide rebranding...Waterbury is having a 'grand reopening' at some point in the next week or so. It was in the record.
