Sorry, please ignore forthcoming carrier pigeon.

Likewise, I won't expect a return smoke signal.

That is incredibly tough to believe. I was expecting a few thousand, but 100,000 and in the first few hours?

I am guessing the numbers started at 100000, which would put it at a few thousand entries thus far. 100,000 entries would like the entire population of a medium sized city entering at once.

I entered at 9:43 and was 102300 (or something). I doubt 102,000 people ordered in 43 minutes .
AT 12:38 I was 1032** so presumably it started around 100k (unless the taper of when people entered was just dramatically skewed front - i just assumed entering at a certain time wouldn't help things)

I think I could do biannual and not piss the wife off too much since she does love vt.road trip?

yeah absolutely.. i was kind of hoping with their options we could be more selective of the frequency.. for me bi annual of for the two points to be End of December early January then again in late June/July would coincide with my trips to Canada... but I understand it doesn't work with their year(calendar) of 10/1/16 - 9/30/17

i'm just glad something like this is potentially a viable thing again... Really hope to get in since it seems once you are in you can remain in.. have to imagine getting in next year will be that much harder since i doubt many drop out and i doubt many new spots open each year.

You guys going to enter?

I'm having a hard time signing up from my Android device running chrome. It won't let me hit done on the birthday select. My have to wait until later tonight when I get home.

Wondering why they require you to specify a pickup frequency at this stage if this is purely a lottery based selection, i.e. would that have some sort of sway as to your chances of getting in?

I'd be willing to bet they have an allotment of winners for each frequency, with the most number of winners for monthly and the least for bi-annual. That way they aren't sitting on a bunch of inventory taking up space.

Am I the only one who feels this may not entirely be a full blown lotto?

The wording in the FAQs does mention random selection but above that in the opening description it mentions being entered into a "pool" and "if selected". Based on what this club entails and what they hope for it to be, I don't expect them to take their members on pure chance, when they can easily identify individuals who are already embody the appreciation and support they are seeking.

I read this as a way to identify potentially unknown people who would embody the appreciation and support. Essentially, an approach that--through randomness--would allow them to see old friends and would also allow them to make new friends.
