I've been wondering what happens to tart/sour barrels when they 'go south'
Dumped?
Kept for in-house/employee consumption only?
Aged longer and hope the unwanted aromas/flavors are cleaned up?

Ive got a report that the line is about 90 minutes long. And they are being Nazi's big surprise. Friend is up there with his wife and they would only allow them to buy 1 Art between the 2 of them. ******* weird.

If you're buying a ton of beer, and then point to your wife/gf/mom/great-aunt and say "Oh yeah, she wants an Art too," then if I were selling the beer, I'd say no too. Not saying that's what happened here, but I've definitely seen that happen before at other beer releases. Now, if she really wanted the beer, that's messed up, but a lot of beer nerds hardly try to hide their obvious muling, and I'm okay with shutting out the more blatant attempts.

While I understand where he's coming from, I don't think singling out women is the right thing to do. I've seen people bring wayyyy more male mules than females to releases. Hell, during the Flaming Fury release at Captain Lawrence last week, the guy behind me in line was in his 60's, had no idea about beer, and was there muling for his son in Philly. He even tried buying my allotment off me.

I know a few BAers on here whose wives (mine included) are big beer fans, so it's kind of ****** up to assume that women don't know jack about beer, or aren't worthy enough to warrant selling them their own bottle.

How can he determine who lives together though unless peopl eopenly admit to that or they compare their ID's and they have the same address.
