What are the opinions on Peleg? Adam Jackson has a review on RB that makes me want a ton of it, perhaps to sit some down until winter. Sounds like a really unique beer, can't wait to try it.

I thought I was going to absolutely hate it. I don't particularly like dark sours, I don't particularly like old ales, etc etc. But I loved it. I thought it was drinking perfect as is... Not that age would hurt it, but it was really tasty.

Certainly unique, I can't say it's one of my favorites but it was a fun one to drink. Tasted like a hybrid of Norma and prolegomena to me. The fruitiness was dialed way back and instead there was this awesome bakers chocolate finish. Tons of leather and toffee up front. Really nice just not my bag, personally.

The fun begins.... People on BA from across the country who purchased tickets with no intention of going, offering to trade them for full retail cost in limited release HF beers....

Dude tells me in BM "if you're looking for 2 tickets, we may just have an epic tasting here on the date of the festival:)"

I'm waiting for the actual tickets to get sent out (or whatever they are doing) and for the Ebay/MBC listings that will inevitably pop up.

FWD BA links to Hill. Have them pose as potential buyers and then revoke said user's tickets

Where are you seeing this on BA ? I cant find it. I see it here on TB tho......

Guy is trying to defend it and looking awful. What is the proper way to get rid of tix ? I'm thinking its to sell for face value to someone and make their day (or year?) and they usually will in turn send you a thank you box of beers?

He offered it in the FoFa thread on BA, but he told me what he wanted through BM.

Just saw that thread! Wow, pathetic.... I preferred how it was done last year with a separate in-person lottery. Gave locals a better shot.

exactly this IMO

As an update to this - got a very nice email from Shaun letting me know that it was indeed completely random, and was nothing but my bad luck that kept me from getting tickets!

it's cool that he is in touch with his customers like that...

not everyone is douchey, I gave my two tix up to a trading buddy at cost.... I know I could of went the route to get something good, but I know maybe next i can go and won't have a tix...

yeah, I'm giving my second to my friend's GF at face value...and I know a couple people from here that have had to sell theirs and have done so at cost

hell... that's how I got in last year... someone sold me theirs at cost

Not FOFA, but I went to the 3rd anni celebration because of a kind person selling me tickets at face value. Ended up getting him some lawsons and heady to repay the favor. There are more good people out there than bad, and people that understand (beer) karma.

beer karma is real, hook it up and it'll be hooked up.. pretty simple.. i see more and more people looking to profit in the craft beer scene.. not to get up on a soap box because i know you all know this but i'll say it anyway..... you want to profit... go learn to brew and start a business.. people trying to act as some sort of middle person like the three tier system.. everybody's got to get theirs though right? **** that noise..

"Sonny and my father always said that when I'd get older I would understand. Well, I finally did. I learned something from these two men. I learned to give love and get love unconditionally; you just have to accept people for what they are. And I learned the greatest gift of all -- the saddest thing in life is wasted talent. And the choices that you make will shape your life forever. But you can ask anybody from my neighborhood and they'll just tell you, this is just another Bronx Tale."

well there's a lot of people out there brewing for money and there beer isn't that good.. So I wouldn't suggest that to everyone trying to make a buck ;)
