I find it funny I texted Dino at 11:58AM and the first thing he does is tell TB, Soigne Magnums and 11:58AM. lol

The Soigne magnums were $45 and there were only 6 available, limit one per person. They also had 2 of those wooden totes with MC 1,2,3,4 for sale at the price of $265 or something like that.

I was telling my friend driving up that there was a chance for soigne magnums as when Arthur was released they put arthur magnums on the shelf randomly.

I was hoping for Flora with Cherries, that the flower picking people got to try on Monday, to randomly pop up as well.

Oh yeah, they had a half full magnum of soigne that was an option for your sample today as well sitting on the counter. It was an unlabled bottle. Well, I guess kerrie said I could have some when I questioned about it. It wasn't obvious at all that that was a sample option. lol
I waited to make sure you weren't ******* with me!

Posted it here first.

man i feel like im literally texting my HF buddy every other day now saying "would love some _____" - used to be more like every month

shauns saison game is filthy, which is both good and bad

Anna might be the best non-barrel-aged saison (in the sense of Flora, Norma, Art, etc...) that Shaun makes. Simply stunning. I'm saving my last bottle of last year's batch to age for at least 5 years and see what that does to it.

Maybe things have changed, but my experience with older batches was not great. Opened a 2011 last summer, tasted like mustard and vomit. Do not recommend aging for more than 6 months.

What color cap? Old gold caps are super hit or miss. Had batch 1 Anna recently and it was phenomenal. But I've had a number of gold cap bottles that didn't hold up. I think Anna holds up the best of the non-extended-barrel saisons second only to Vera over longer periods of time.

It was a gold cap, not sure which batch, but it wasn't batch 1.

Batch 1 Clara is also tasting great right now... I feel like gold cap success at this point is probably some combination of storage conditions, the beer itself, and luck.

Speaking of caps... anyone open a magnum yet and notice the new caps? They have an insert in them (same kind that you'd find in a capped sparkling wine/champagne) that should further help them hold up better over long periods of time.

I think it's probably going to be more often now. Maybe 4 times a year with the expansion and now that he has those big ass foeders?

Certainly hope so. Last Arthur and Soigne batches were November I think?

I have an Arthur from January of this year.

Offhand, I have Arthurs from February 2013, and October 2013, and I know there was the January 2014 batch plus AT LEAST one more batch (June?) in that time period I missed, if not two. so inside a year that's at least 4 and maybe 5 between jan 2013 and jan 2014... and all of those batches were without foeders.
