Already rented our house. Wife and I learned the hard way when our tent was destroyed and we slept in our car in the parking lot of a grocery store in downtown Waterbury!

damn, were Jon and i the only ones who stayed at HF all night? there was a small bottle share around a heater in someone's tent lol.

You're going to need a good trading partner to simply mule you HF at cost.

That, and I get fairly irritated when people advertise their ISO in regional/brewer-specific/event threads

You'll have far better luck with a straightforward trade than a gopickitupformebro. Only 3 growlers per trip through line and limits on any bottles means you're just taking a good sized chunk out of someone's haul. Post up a strong FT and go from there.

Thanks for the info as I didn't realize there were growler fill limits up there. I'll toss up a proper ISO:FT. Cheers.

There's nothing against doing this really, but I picture the following when this happens: a large room full of people, locals and non-locals, standing in various-sized groups and holding multiple discussions. Suddenly someone looking completely out of place leaps into a clearing in the crowd dramatically and yells "HEY EVERYONE, LOOKS AT MY AD!"

I don't know if (m)any people would see this and think, hey, I'm up for this! If people were looking to trade/mule I'd imagine they would check the ISO:FT forum. You are certainly free to do this, but I'm merely presenting what I think and do when I see these kind of posts

I actually was in a giving mood the other day and helped out a dude who asked this same thing. Sent him an Abner and a Daybreak from our trip last weekend. Paying it forward for a great trader who sent me a Resurgam for nothing a few months ago. Asked the guy to do the same thing for someone else.

Do you think Norma would trade for a Flora (from the upcoming batch)? Similar bottle counts/limits, right? Probably not going to be able to hit HF up for a long time with a kid on the way, but want to make sure I can score my favorite beer when it's released.

No idea - last year it was October, but I'm definitely going to miss this (and probably next year's) release. I'm storing some Norma I picked up last weekend to hopefully land a Flora when it does. Last year was 2/pp limit for Flora.

Flora was 1 per person last fall.

While I wish Norma would land a Flora, I severely doubt it.

I tried trading for Norma and Flora at the same time, shortly after the last Flora release, and found Flora easier to land. That was undoubtably a timing thing though, and who knows if it will be the case for the next release.

Ok cool, yeah I was off on the limits of Norma. I knew it got lowered after the 1st day. And 2nd day they made a case of CD4 bottles available at 1/pp to make up for the limit dropping. I'm still trying to figure out the beer that MikeG was referring to that he got in October.

It was Damon I was thinking of. They dropped it to 1 the day we got there, which was the day before the DBD release.

Truth. Stupidest day ever. Almost died like 6 times on the roads of Glover and Greensboro. Letting it add up like 4 more inches while we ate at Parker Pie might not have been smart...but pizza and beer, you know?

Speaking of that, any other Vermonters get totally screwed the past 48 hours? It was insane. My car was buried under 15 inches of snow last night so I shoveled for 2 hours and moved my car so part of my drive could be plowed. Then I tried to leave this morning and my car had literally froze to the snow under it that had partially melted then re-froze from the hot car. So I had to shovel another hour to get the car unstuck.

It then took an hour to go 15 miles into town with traction control freaking out. I also had to spend $500 to get body work done on my car today after I broke some pieces of my car in a stupid ice fishing accident a few weeks ago.

Next time someone tells me how awesome it is living next to Hill Farmstead, I'm going to recount how ridiculous winters & mud season is up here.

This was my view about half-way into the snow storm yesterday. Insanity: My Golf looks like a weird futuristic minivan.
