Isn't the suspense of an unsubstantiated rumor better than knowing?
But it's not as good as holding back the unsubstantiated rumor, securing bottles and then releasing the unsubstantiated rumor to spike trade value.

Not saying that's what you're doing. Just noting what would cause maximum jimmies rustled.

I can confirm this.

Ya know, boneyard IPAs, flora rustica, an insane cascade lineup and Hotd Matt and Otto made Portland an insanely good trip. I got to try a sole comp from upright and had tons of fresh hop beers. It was a crash good trip. Oregon is flush with awesome beer.

The only problem with that is that I have no bottles! In fact, I am probably just making it harder on myself to get one

Anybody know what the deal with proleg was? Did they just bust out a few leftover bottles?

Woaahhh wut the actual ***....flora/florasats.....dbd.....proleg....cd7.....and soon port damon!?!?!?! Seems like I chose the wrong quarter to take off of school and go back home to cali...........

alsooo if any locals wouldn't find it too much trouble to snag any of the above bottles for a local who has terrible timing, pls hit me up <3 I'd do dirty things for you. I'll be back to VT/NH area in jan, and we can do a gnarly bottleshare to make up for it <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

The way I understand it.

Proleg and Elab1 were put out sort of like Shaun said he would earlier this year that vintage bottles would sort of make their way on the shelf at random..maybe 1-2 and maybe a few dozen. He's put out Jimmy, various CDs and Damon at times.

CD7 was quoted as being a part of Collected Works but was pushed back because it was not ready. exciting to see this one!

Flora Satsuma I can only assume that 300 were allotted for that day and the remainder were put on the shelf for sale over a few different days so locals could grab some.

Up next???? Elaborative 2, Port Damon, Birth of Tragedy, Twilight of the Idols and *crossing fingers* Grassroots / Mikkeller Daybreak Batch 2 which was put into Grand Marnier barrels almost 1 year ago and at the time, Shaun said they'll be there for 12 months. I hope to see Daybreak 2 very soon and in a few weeks, new batches of Anna and Arthur and Florence and I wanna buy as many bottles as allowed and drink them all winter like nectar of the gods.

There's a lot of really cool stuff at the hill sitting in barrels. I think the next 6 months are going to be insanely awesome! Tons of delicious beers.

=====

on the locals go and pick it up note, why don't you and I just meet up? I'm in Lyme, you're very close to where I live. I think we chatted about cracking some bottles. I usually don't get multiple bottles but have no problem sharing them with another person. I'm just not trading / muling HFS stuff anymore. Sharing is doable.

bummer there won't be any twilight bottle hauls this season, but psyched that one of my favorite winter porters is back.

bought/consumed way too many cases this past winter. such a good nightcap beer.

Fasho dudee, I get back to H-town for the start of winter term in Jan. I'd love to crack a bottle and chill...... same goes for anyone else who lives close and feels like vicariously reliving their college life.....

Yesterday's haul. CD7, Double Citra, one of the last pours of Abner, one of the first pours of Twilight. And some other stuff. My work here is done.

did I JUST miss you? I was there yesterday from 3:30 to probably 6:30 PM hanging out. Going to Blue Lobster tomorrow (GO DAVE!) and maybe I can swing an AM visit to Allagash if I get up early enough.

You sir did an awesome job. Insanity.

I also finally got to try biscotti break on tap in portland. awesome stuff!

Drinking 2013 Twilight right now from the 1 Litre. Way more vanilla than last year. This beer won't be bottled this time around so I'll just have to get it in growlers every week until it runs out

Just finished off a 2L with friends and everyone was commenting how this batch seemingly had less vanilla than last year. Go figure. Cheers.

Nothing new on the shelf today. Just CD7 and the guest bottles ($20 Golden Blend hhnnnngggghhhh).

Was talking to Phil and lamenting about Twilight not getting bottled this year and he said it was because they don't have to space in the warm room to condition the bottles. :( Expansion. Must. Get. Done. ASAP.

Based on my taste yesterday, I think it was even more vanilla forward than last year. Planning on doing a side by side though to be sure.
