Wonder what was so pressing that dude had to make his folks go?
If I lived further away than a simple day trip, and my folks were local, I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to ask them to make a trip or two a year. If they were really a 6-7am arrival and not 2am, it’s not that crazy of a request.

Now, my parents wouldnt understand and end up buying me a mix pack of Long Trail from the local gas station instead, but their heart is in the right place.

My parents think I'm a dork for spending $15 on a four pack of cans, I don't dare tell them what a rando CD 750 bottle costs or that I drove six hours in a car for one 375ml bottle of pepper juice.

They would also tell me to go eff myself if I asked them to stand in line for beer for me.

Related, I didn't get a lot of hugs as a kid.

Wow, the discussion in this thread is amazing. My parents live in Connecticut and will be flying here to Colorado for Christmas. I Just got this text from my dad.

one of my fondest memories was being online with my father and getting a message from a friend saying "I heard you are talking to my mom on line".

there is definitely an issue with mules who buy to profit... but there are actually parents out there that either like beer themselves or are happy to pickup beers for their loved ones.

Saw the old couple from the plum box release at the front of the line today. Doubting their surprise Xmas gift to their son story now. Apparently they're at the front of the line at most releases. I'm a sucker, carry on.
I wonder if it's the same old guy I saw in line back in September. Lived close by and seemed to be a regular mule for his step-son down in Georgia or North Carolina or something. Claude? Carl? Parked right up front with his handicap plate. Super nice guy - said he mostly drinks Coors Light.

That's the guy, he does have handicap plates. He was nice, that's why I believed him. Not Dale though.
