Left HF around 1230. Bottle line was dying down. Clover expected to last until end of day. Soigne about to sell out.

Lucky enough to get Clover and Flora P/P onsite (both sold out extremely fast). LoG also onsite for $15. Nothing else special for onsite aside from Bernice.

Don't recall Anna being this funky, 02/25/16 batch drinking very well. With all the commotion this week I am happy to find solace in one of my favourite HF offerings.

But would you bring your grandma to the release?

I have to leave my grandma at home for the Hill Farmstead releases; she does not own a credit card. I am, however, eagerly awaiting the day when HF amends their bottle release policy to read, "We will ONLY accept a credit card/debit card or personal check accompanied by a valid, legal picture ID that matches the name on the credit card (this excludes generic Visa/Mastercard gift cards) or personal check."

Until this happens, my grandma mule operation will be limited to visits to Tree House.

Another favourite of mine, this batch seems really different though. 06/29/16 Huge brett bomb, very acidic, lots of funk on the nosr but comes out very fruity/citrusy... Grapefruit, definitely grapefruit which I don't recall getting from previous batches

Go for the Nigerian scam email template next time.

Eh I think people are more receptive to a $12/375mL bottle. There are plenty of people who are up there for the IPAs and shelf saisons and who don't care about/know the hype around clover (or aren't willing to spend $22/375mL)

On Weds., Oct. 19, we're excited to share with you all an extremely special beer at our retail shop from Casita Cerveceria:

• Querido Y Perdido
(Love And Lost)
Imperial Stout with cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon and chili peppers.
$15, 22 oz. bottle, 2 per person

"From Mahalia Breen, Co-Founder of Casita Cerveceria:
In 2014, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32. It was a terrible ordeal I was helped through by doctors, nurses, friends, family, and others who were going through the same thing.

"Unfortunately, a lot of those lovely, vibrant women from my support group did not make it, so this beer is dedicated to them and to all those we have lost to this dreaded disease. In memoriam, profits from the sale of this beer with be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrfcure.org).

"With gratitude."

Special thanks to the amazing people at Cycle Brewing in St. Petersburg, Fla., who brewed and bottled this beer for Casita Cerveceria.

• Edith

We will also release a new batch of Edith, our dark Farmstead ale!

750ml, $10

In her honor, this dark farmstead ale is crafted from American malted barley, German roasted malts, European hops, our farmhouse yeast, and water from our well.

Oh man how I love Edith. Really hoping Querido Y Perdido lasts til next Thursday...

If you research Lambic and fruited sour reviews back as far as they go, the word "juicy" begins to pop up, as far back as 15+ years ago on BA and others.

It seems that it is right in line with the blurring of lines between beer and wine as "juicy" has typically been used to describe wine flavors and characteristics as it directly relates to the grape and taste.
