Yeah Krystyna and I were laughing when it said $253 for CD5. Drinking one for $25 was great though. Not much has changed since the one we had in late 2014- still some light wine and oak, really nice and subtle but definitely very thin.

andrewdrinks great time meeting the two of you today. Safe travels!

**** me I even asked about the price and the bartender just laughed. Would have loved to try that one but taproom experience was awesome either way.

100% accurate. Also, $22 might seem a bit steep for a 375 ml, but the on-site prices are incredible. $30 for Sue, $35 for Iris? Last time a bar near me got Cantillon they charged $65 for Fou and $45 for Classic.
Big difference between the markup on a case of cantillon and 1000 bottles of flora

I'm not one to bitch about prices usually but my god. Almost $2/oz...

Zero ***** given. When I head up to HF I treat my wallet like my ex-girlfriends. Zero regard for safety, respect and use whatever tools available to stretch it wide open.......

On that note... I'm not "well off" by any means. I work hard to support my family. If some guy grabs a $20 bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner, I don't see the difference in grabbing a premium bottle of beer. Granted I won't be drinking a $20 bottle of beer everynight. Could be a $3.50 can of Heady, a $10 bottle of Arthur etc. the point being life is short. You could honestly be dead tomorrow. I want to experience all life has to offer and be happy while I'm here on this planet for the short amount of time. If that means spending $22 on a beer then so be it. There are countless other things I could spend my money, but this makes me happy.

TL : DR Plums are expensive deal with it. Don't like it don't buy it.

When the bar and distributer are owned by the same entity thats one less person taking a cut along the way from brewer to consumer....

I never said I wouldn't buy it, I pay too much for fancy beer all the time as well. Doesn't mean $22 for a 12oz saison isn't mildly insane... But so am I. Pretty soon beers like Florence will be sold under the "HF" moniker and Flora Plum will be part of the "Hill Farmstead Heirloom Collection". Wish they'd model their business after breweries like Cantillon.

Hand-peeled Plum futures must be skyrocketing. I'll inform my team of financial advisors where to invest my tens of dollars.

In my experience it just means larger profits for the bar owner bc he gets his beer cheaper. there are two bars in the Philly area I know have this arrangement and they are some of the most expensive (they also get very nice beer, but that's not the point)

My point is that Shaun could charge whatever the **** he wanted for Ann, Being & Time, Sue, etc. on site. They'd sell out regardless.
