I am naturally priming a keg of American Stout, and my FG was 1.022. It's probably around 4.5 gallons. I'm using notty yeast, and am priming around 68-70°F.

I would like an extended cold conditioning period with it. I know bottles need about 1 week to prime before you can chill. I just wonder with the additional quanity and gravity in one vessel if I need longer than 1 week? It's been 1.5 weeks, and I know waiting until Sat is no big deal for something I want done for Christmas.

I guess I just want to know for my own education.

I've only naturally carbed a couple of kegs....but I've always waited at least 3 weeks before chilling... Not sure what effect the high FG will have. Kinda curious myself. I just kegged my own stout on Sunday. Naturally carbed and the FG was 1.018....didn't even think a thing about it......
