Hey all,

So, homebrewing has been one of those dreams i've had for a while, but i've always had a slew of excuses that the timing wasn't right (Too small of an apartment, no temp control, etc).

Well, finally, with support from my fiance, my first brew is in primary fermentation in the guest bathtub. It's been awesome so far, and i'm already working on a pipeline of brews. I'm finding the process to be a ton of fun already, so I imagine the actual drinking part will be even better :).

Right now i've got the AHS Gold Oatmean Stout in primary, and i've ordered the AHS Greenbelt Pale Ale kit DME version, so that will be coming in next when I free up my primary carboy.

See you guys around!

Welcome! Howdy from Austin! :)

I'm interested to hear how the Greenbelt Pale Ale comes out. I've seen the promos in the store, but haven't grabbed it. Thats the one w/ the special Wyeast greenbelt strain, right?

Right. We were looking to do a pale ale after our oatmeal stout, and this one was on promo and grabbed our attention.

I'm a little further out from Hill Country, but that doesn't mean that I don't get out there as much as I can. We have a small and decent homebrew crew out here in San Angelo, but it would be nice to be closer to a larger community.

Hi From Central Texas,

I just started to home brew as well. I will be bottling my first batch this week. Its an IPA DME Mini-Mash. I've found the hardest part of this hobby is the waiting! I'm about to start on a Wit to be ready for the spring. Nothing better. Best of luck and BrewStrong!

It's hard to build up a pipeline when you drink the whole batch before the next one is ready.
