Hi all, fairly new to home brewing (I just brewed my second batch on Sunday) but I am having fun. My first batch was an Irish Stout (I gave it a 70 and my local home brew supply store guy gave it a 75-78! I figured not bad for my trial run! My second batch is an Chocolate Cherry Irish Stout (fermentation ended this morning 3 1/2 days) but I am going to let it sit in my conical for 2-3 weeks before racking to a keg (1 time filling bottles was enough for me)!
My ultimate goal is to someday come as close as possible to reproducing Goose Islands Bourbon County Stout (which will take 2 plus years and a bourbon barrel)! I was lucky enough to score the final 4 pack (at $25.99) at my local package store.
